Proto-'health-martial foundation-exercises : Standing-Posts:=Zhan

Contemplation-mediation-=standing-meditation:
Health Zhuang = jianshen zhuang; Combat Zhuang = jiji zhuang
Health posts (jianshen zhuang), are basis for more advanced training.
This included many standing, half supported, sitting and lying down postures. They started from basic versions of the
postures, then learned some gentle "seeking strength', including 'swaying' and 'whirling' methods of internal work.
Combat posts (jiji zhuang), which are the core training method
of yiquan as a martial art. Participants learned the most important posture - hunyuan zhuang, with 5 variants of 'seeking
strength' - from the basic 3 directions, through changing directions, to simultanous work with 'forces related to 6 surfaces'.

Testing+Motion: purpose it is for connecting the
upper and lower body, or more acurately, it is to realise that such a connection is nessesary.

exercises (shi li - 'testing strength), starting from very simple movements in basic directions to more difficult, involving
spiral moving of whole body.
Fa Li =dynamic force issuing, [fa jing is mistaken spelling,
should be fa jin], the same jin as in mo jin.
Tanzhang Fali. Explosive movement exercises (fa li - 'issuing strength').
They learned basic forward fa li in fixed position and with steps and then basic punching method, single and in series, in
fixed position and with steps.
Li Jiong has a different, but related exercise in his course. It may originate with Han
Jingyu, though.
